Melissa Alvis

Melissa attended Springtown High School where she lettered in Volleyball and Track.  This is her second year coaching club volleyball.  She received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business at Keller Graduate School of Management.  She started her third year working as a software engineer for an enterprise recording software company.

Megan Brown

Megan is starting her fourth year coaching club volleyball. In 2004 Megan was the head coach of Texas Juniors DFW 13 Gold Team where her team consistently finished in Championship brackets. She led her team to a top 10 ranking in the region the entire season. In addition to coaching her own team, Megan assisted Texas Jrs 16 Gold team and helped lead them to much success, including a 4th place (out of 104 teams) finish at the Southern California Qualifier. Last year Megan was the 17 National assistant coach. Megan exhibits an enthusiasm for volleyball that is sure to influence her athletes. Megan is a graduate of Irving High School where she played volleyball for four years. She played club volleyball at North Dallas Juniors, Dallas Summit, and Coppell Classic through junior high and high school. She went on to play volleyball at Tarleton State University . Megan is currently the JV Volleyball Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Hebron High School . Megan has coached many camps and loves working with young athletes.

Jessica Crow

Jessica is a current player at Texas Women's University. In high school, she was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and basketball. She also lettered in track. As the team's setter, Jessica led the Pirates to 17-4A district championship in volleyball as a senior and earned district MVP Award for her efforts. She recorded 1,038 assists, 406 points, 192 kills and 376 digs in 2005. She was a four-time academic all-district selectio. Jessica was selected for TGCA all-star ga and played club volleyball for ET Juniors.

Melanie D'Angelo

Melanie has been around volleyball for fifteen years. She had a great college career as she played at Arkansas Tech University where she lettered all four years. Melanie played outside hitter the first two years, right side her Junio year, and DS her Senior year.  All four years her team qualified for the Conference tournament and went to regionals her Junior year. Melanie has coached club volleyball in the North Texas Region for the past five years at the 15, 16, and 17 age levels.

Renita Davidson

Renita attended Arlington High School as a middle blocker led them to the Regional Semifinals three years in a row. She played college volleyball at the University of Kansas as an outside hitter. Her team qualified for the NCAA tournament first time in school history 2003-2004 and again in 2004-2005.  Renita was recognized as Academic First Team sophomore year and Dean's List all four years. She rRecieved MVP in the Arlington Star Telegram and Big Hitters in the Metroplex senior year. This is Renita's second year coaching club. She is currently special education teacher at Lewisville High school and getting master's in special education from the University of North Texas

 

Aimee Dewitte

Aimee began her volleyball career at St. Charles High School in Illinois. She played four years as starting middle/outside hitter.  Throughout her high school career she played club volleyball with POV & Sports Performance. During this time she received multiple awards on her way to receiving a scholarship to play for Northern Michigan University.  As a freshman, Aimee worked her way into a starting role as an outside hitter/middle blocker.  As a junior she received All-Conference/All-Region and All-American honors along with multiple league awards.  Aimee was offered a position on the USA Athletes International Team to compete in Germany/Holland.  Her outstanding play continued her senior year where she repeated as an All Conference, All-Region and All-American recipient.  Aimee was able to pass on some of her expertise when she accepted her first coaching position at Marquette Area Public Schools for two seasons as the JV Volleyball Head Coach/ Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach.  Aimee graduated from NMU with a degree in Criminal Justice and Social Welfare.  She began coaching the 16 travel team and 17 travel team for Dallas Force Volleyball Club.  Aimee’s career is a result of hard work and dedication to her sport.  Aimee has a very intense coaching & training mentality that ensures results at all levels.

Jennifer Dyer

Jennifer has been playing competitive volleyball since she was eleven. In Washington, she was a four time varsity letterwinner at Tumwater High School. Jennifer was team captain for two years and received first team all-district three times. Her Senior year, she was selected second team All-State. She received five college volleyball scholarship offers. She played with Bellevue College and Evergreen State College.  She attended and played at Eastern Washington University. She is currently pursuing a degree in International Business Finance.  

Sara Fitzpatrick

Sara graduated from Texas A&M Commerce after a gratifying career as a student-athlete.   She is transitioning to the professional realm.  She is an energetic and fun coach and is a very welcome addition to our staff. Sara graduated from Marcus (Flower Mound) High School where she played volleyball all four years. She played Outside Hitter and Libero at Texas A&M - Commerce. She has also worked several camps the past seven years. Sara has three sisters including a twin and she enjoys coaching and playing volleyball.

Laura Gibson

Laura was the Head Junior High Volleyball coach at Fairhill School in Dallas for two years in 2002 and 2003. She then moved on to be the Varsity Coach at Carrollton Christian Academy for two years, 2005-2006. Both years at CCA, her team finished playoffs as Regional Semi-Finalists. Laura coached the 15 Gold team for Texas Juniors DFW in the 2002-2003 season and took over the 17 Gold team in post season play where she led the team to a 37th finish out of 231 teams in the 18U division at the Davis Volleyball Festival. She again coached the 15 Gold teams in 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. Some notable finishes for her teams are: finished 9th overall in the open division at Houston Cross Courts, 25th out of 80 teams at the Southern California Qualifier, Finished in the Championship division at the North Texas Invitational, won the Gold Division Championship at the NT Volleyfest ranking tournament and won the Cowtown Classic Tournament Championship. Laura's playing experience included one year at North Central Texas College in Gainesville where her team won the Conference Championship. She then transferred to play at Grace College for two years where she started both years. Her team won the MCC Conference Championship, Region 8 Championship and placed 12th in the NAIA National Tournament. Laura was named Grace College Defensive MVP. Prior to college Laura played at Coppell High School for four year and was a varsity starter for two years. In both years, her team won district champions and numerous play-off games. Laura's senior year at Coppell the team competed in the state tournament. Laura was named to the All-district team both years and was 1997.

Christine Gregory

Christine has been the Head Coach of the Newman Smith Lady Trojans for eleven years. In 1998, she was elected as the Texas Girls' Coaches Association All Star Coach. Christine has coached volleyball at all levels including college, high school, and club. She graduated from DeQuen High School in DeQuen, Arkansas and attended Southern Arkansas University and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she received a B.S. in Biological Science and Masters in Kinesiology. While in college, Christine played basketball at Southern Arkansas (2 years) and lettered in Track & Field at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville (2 years). She has coached volleyball for twenty years including two years at Southern Arkansas University, sixteen years at the high school level, nine years at the club level. Christine is also the Girl's Athletic Coordinator at Newman-Smith High School.

David Harris

David has eight years of coaching experience at the 15's, 16's, 17's and 18's levels. Previously, David assisted Texas Juniors 16 Gold team which placed 27th at Nationals, 2nd at the North Texas Regional Qualifier, 3rd at the Lone Star National Qualifier, and was ranked in the top 10 in the region the entire season. Every season his teams have finished ranked in the Top 10 of the North Texas Region. David, a current player, possesses ten years of select “A” level volleyball and has excelled in grass tournaments with two 2nd place finishes. His teams have won SpikeFest several times. David has a true love for the game, which he shows through his hard work and devotion.

Terri Harrod

Terri is a very experienced volleyball coach who is also the Head Volleyball Coach at The Colony High School.  She had coached with Dallas Force for eight years.  She does a great job, building confidence and knowledge in her players.  Terri graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas where she lettered in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. In Volleyball, she was a setter and defensive specialist. She was recruited to play 1 Guard at Ranger Junior College. Terri transferred to Texas Women's University to play 1 Guard on the basketball team. She majored in Kinesiology and Special Education. Terri has coached at The Colony for sixteen years, the head volleyball coach for eleven of those years. Her hobbies are camping, hiking, and golf.

Jenny Harry

Jenny grew up in Coppell and lettered at Coppell High School as an outside hitter.  She received honors of All-Metrocrest News, All- District, Academic All-District and was selected by her teammates for the Fighting Heart Award.  She also played club volleyball all four years of high school. This is Jenny’s fourth year of coaching. Jenny spent one year at the Episcopal School of Dallas coaching the freshman team and leading them to a winning season.  She coached 13’s and 14’s at the club level for Texas Juniors DFW.

Karin Keeney

Karin has been coaching volleyball for 20 years, 16 of those years have been at the head coaching position. Karin is currently the varsity volleyball coach at Hebron High School. After starting the volleyball program at Hebron in 1999 - Karin went from a 0-10 season to four straight District Championships, including several undefeated seasons. In 2004 Karin led the Hebron Hawks to their first 4A High School State Championship title and was State runner-up in 2005. Her team has been ranked the #1 4A high school team in the state of Texas . In 2004 she was named the Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year. Karin graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (B.S.E.) where she played 4 years of volleyball and one year of softball.

Monica Martinez

Monica grew up in Houston, Texas and went to Mayde Creek High School where she lettered in Volleyball as an outside hitter. She played club all four years of high school and finished high school playing for Texas Tornados. She went on to play for Southwest Baptist University where she received All-Conference Honors in 2002 and broke three school records including Most Attempts in a Season, Most Kills in a Season, and Most Attempts in a Game. She won all-tournament honors at the Loyola Marymount Tournament in 2002. Monica transferred to University of North Texas and graduated with a Communications Degree with a minor in Secondary Education. Monica is currently a Speech Teacher and the JV Volleyball Coach at Denton High School.

Michele Massey has been coaching volleyball for 8 years and has been playing for 14 years. She was a standout player at her high school in Oklahoma where she was a 4 year starter as the varsity setter for Putnam City Original High School. She led her team to the state playoffs all 4 years. She started her college career off at Texas Wesleyan University in 2000 and in 2001 and then moved back home to Oklahoma were she played at Mid-America Bible University. She finished her playing career at Southern Nazarene University were she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health, and Safety. Throughout her collegiate career she was selected as a member of the All-Tournament Team at the national tournament and named as an All-American. She also led her team in accomplishing their team goal of winning a national championship. From 2001-2005 she coached for Oklahoma Wind Volleyball Club as the Head Coach for the 16 National Team. She led her teams to many tournament wins, including qualifying for and attending the 2003 National tournament in Atlanta, GA, where her team finished in the top 25 in the nation. In 2005 she moved to the DFW area and was the varsity volleyball coach for South Hills High School in Fort Worth 7-4A and placed fourth in their district. Currently, Michele is the Head Freshmen A and Assistant Varsity coach at Hebron High School.

Greg Meshell

Greg is a 1998 graduate of Southern Arkansas University, where he majored in Kinesiology and obtained minors in both mathematics and health education.  Throughout college, he played with a local team and developed a love for the game which later carried over to a career of teaching the game to juniors.  He has worked for the Boys and Girls Club of America for four years teaching and working with kids of all ages.  He currently is the Head Volleyball Coach at McMath Middle School in Denton, where he has been for the last four years.  He has been coaching volleyball for a total of ten years and has coached two years at the varsity level and eight years at the middle school level. He has led his middle school teams to two District Championships.  At the varsity level, he helped lead the team to the regional playoffs.  He loves working with middle school age players so that he can help develop the fundamental skills that are essential later on in their volleyball careers.

In the 2006-2007 club season, his team finished 4th out of 36 at the Redland Rendevous, 1st out of 16 at the Jamz TX Showdown, 2nd out of 20 at the North Texas Region Power Event, 13th out of 72 at the Houston Cross Courts, 5th out of 59 at the American Volleyball Challenge, and 5th out of 40 at the Mizuno Lone Star Classic (select division).  At seasons end, his team had finished in the top 10 in seven out of ten tournaments.

Jill Mundy

This is Jill's sixth year to coach club volleyball. With Texas Jrs, she has head coached both 14's and 16's teams. Jill has club coaching experience with Texas Riptide (in south Houston) for two years and Sport Volleyball (in East Texas). Jill has coached 12s, 13s, 14s, 15's, 16s, and also helped with older teams. Jill attended Alvin High School where she was a letter winner in volleyball, team captain, and earned all-district first team honors as a senior. Jill played one season each at Alvin Community College and Tyler Junior College. At Alvin CC, Jill ranked 23rd in assists and 20th in service aces nationally for honorable mention accolades. At Tyler Junior College , she was 17th in service aces in the national NJCAA rankings in 2004.

Libby Pacheco

Libby has seven years of coaching experience at the varsity high school level and three years of club coaching experience. Currently she is the Varsity Head Coach at Colleyville Heritage High School. Each year she has led her teams to winning seasons, including qualifying for the playoffs this year. Libby was a star volleyball and basketball player in Amarillo, TX where she earned All-State honors. Libby is a favorite among her players. Her ability to earn their respect allows them to develop as better athletes, in both skill development and confidence.

Ashley Popelka

Ashley strives to prepare her athletes for sports at a higher level through the development of fundamental skills, team work, leadership and sportsmanship. She is an ideal example of this process as she herself excelled as a high school athlete in many sports, including volleyball. She received a full track scholarship to SWT and lettered as a Freshmen. Upon graduating she has been teaching middle school PE and coaching volleyball and basketball. She is currently in her third year of coaching at Blalack Middle School in Carrollton.

Michelle Richardson

Michelle is a fun and knowledgeable coach who is a great student of the game.   She has accelerated her skills as a coach by coaching high school and club concurrently for five years. She coached at Dallas Force for eight years.  Michelle graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas where she lettered in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track. She was Team MVP two times each in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. She was All-District - First Team - Two Times Each in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Michelle played volleyball at Texas Women's University (1994-1997) where she was ranked 15th in Nation for kills and digs per game (1995). She was selected for the All-Region Team (1997), All-Conference - First Team (1995, 1996, and 1997), and the All-Academic Team (1995 and 1996). Michelle still holds four individual records at TWU for kills and digs per game and per season.

Mandi Roberts

Mandi teaches special education and coaches at Coppell Middle School East. Last year with Texas Jr's. she coached the 12 Gold team, where her team consistently finished in Championship brackets. She  helped lead her team to a top 10 ranking in the region for the entire season. Mandi exhibits an enthusiasm for sports that is sure to influence her athletes.  She is a 2003 graduate of Lorena High School , where she played volleyball four years. She was 17-3A Academic All District two years and captain of her team. She was a four year varsity letter winner in track and also lettered in basketball, softball and was captain of the varsity cheerleading squad. Mandi is a graduate of Sam Houston State , where she majored in Health Education. Now she is attending the University of North Texas, working on her Masters in Education. Mandi was a sports coordinator for the YMCA of Greater Houston for three years. She loves coaching young athletes and has coached a variety of youth sports since 1998.

Michelle attended Irving High School where she lettered in Volleyball. During her high school career she was captain of the team and all-district player three years in a row. She made first team all district her junior and senior years and was named all district setter of the year and MVP for her team during her senior year. Michelle played six years of club volleyball.

Lee Tonga

Lee is an energetic, positive, and fun head coach with a lot of experience.  He has been around the volleyball community for over 30 years both as a player and coach.  He stresses volleyball fundamentals, as well as encouraging players to play out side their comfort level and think out side the box. Lee has had much success at all levels.

Lee has coached all levels of club volleyball for over twenty-three years. He is the founder and former director of Texas Heat Volleyball Club (established 1991) and is a USA Volleyball CAP Level II Coach. He has coached two volleyball All-Americans and has qualified five teams for USAV Junior Olympic Nationals including 1 U-18 winning 2005-2006 Lone Star Classic Club division and 1 U-18 taking 2 place finish in 1997 Lone Star Classic.

Lee played volleyball for over thirty-two years. He is the father of four:  Kalani, Sunny, Steven, and Westlee and stepfather of three:  Brittany, Michael, and Geoffry. He is the proud grandfather of Evie, Ilaias, Ellie, and Trey.

Jolene Vinson

Jolene is an exciting addition to our coaching staff.  She has coached volleyball for sixteen years, ten of those at the Division I Western Illinois University.  With Dallas Force, she qualified one team for the USAV Junior Olympic Nationals. Jolene is currently the head volleyball coach at Prosper High School. She also coached high school volleyball two years in Iowa and two years in Arizona. Jolene is a USAV Cap II Accredited Coach and is an avid golfer.

Janaea Williams

Originally from Oklahoma City, Janaea grew up enjoying the game of volleyball.  She played seventh grade through her senior year of high school.  As a freshman, she played setter for the freshman team and played defensive specialist for the next three years on varsity.  During her time on varsity, her team went to state playoffs each year.  She played USAV volleyball for Oklahoma Wind for two years.  She attended University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sociology.  During her college career, she play volleyball recreationally and refereed. She is in her 2nd year at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller ISD, were she is a Special Education teacher for Life Skills class. 

Heather Woolen

Heather is an enthusiastic and energetic coach.  She was a heralded player and respected by her peers as a leader on and off the court.  Heather has coached high school and middle school-aged players for four years. As a high school player at The Colony High School, she lettered in volleyball her Junior and Senior years. She was selected as the team’s Co-Captain and made First Team All-District her Senior year. She earned a Bachelors of Science from DeVry University and Masters of Business Administration from Texas Woman's University.

Kevin Belknap

Kevin is a very experienced club coach.  He has coached high school Juniors and Seniors in Club and High School teams for the past nine years.  He has coached teams that qualified for Nationals the past four years.

Kevin has been a Head Coach in our region for six years, and assistant coach for four years. He has qualified teams to Nationals four times with 17U and 18U ages. He is the former Head Coach of Carrollton Christian Academy and Varsity Assistant Coach for Bishop Lynch High School. He was a clinician at the USA Volleyball National High Performance Beach Camp in '04 and '05

He was a middle blocker at Baylor University and is an avid wakeboarder that loves to let his wife Kelly drive while he and daughter Grace get some sun.

Danielle Bolin

Danielle is building on six years of club experience and four years of playing at the collegiate level. She has taught private lessons for three years and has refereeing experience. Danielle is a recent graduate of McMurry University with a degree in Biology. Academically she received Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and made the Dean's List. She was nominated for Academic All American for volleyball and received Academic All Conference for volleyball (3 years) and for tennis (2 years). She played volleyball all four years and tennis for two years at McMurry. She is in the National Top 20 NCAA III for All Time Dig Average and set the new career record for not only McMurry (her junior year), but also for the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Leader in Most Digs. She set four new McMurry records and earned player of the week nine times. She played outside hitter at McMurry and received Newcomer of the Year and first team All ASC West for three years. In tennis she won the ASC Individuals Championship at No. 5 women's singles and No. 3 women's doubles. Danielle was named the ASC Sportsmanship Award for Female Athlete of the Year. She graduated from Grapevine High School and has been working Grapevine's volleyball camps for six years now. Her senior year she played on TAV 18 team as a libero and placed 8th at Nationals.

Marci Brinkman

Marci is the head coach of the Flower Mound High School Volleyball Team. Marci graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She attended Texas Women's University and continued her volleyball career. She was selected to the All Conference Team (First Team, 2003) and All Academic Team (2003).

Krystle Cabrera

Krystle has coached club volleyball for six years and is currently coaching and teaching at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton. Born in Hawaii, she played college volleyball at Midwestern State and was on the National Championship team at Cedar Valley College in 2003. She also played and graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. She still plays in AVP tournaments.

 

Monica Enlow

Monica begins her seventh year as a head volleyballcoach. In 2004, Monica led her team to a 3rd place finish at the North Texas Invitational, a 6th place finish in the open division of the North Texas Regional Qualifier, and at Lone Star her team finished 9th out of 128 teams. In 2005 and 2006, Monica's teams qualified for the Texas Championship Series. Last year Monica's team place 10th out of 176 teams at the Lone Star Qualifier, 9th out of 72 at the Southern California Qualifier and 6th place overall at the North Texas Regional Qualifier. Monica is a highly respected coach by her players and parents, and exhibits enormous enthusiasm and love of the game. Monica is a graduate of Coppell High School where she was a freshman JV player, and 3 year varsity standout. Her position as a defensive specialist earned her top honors in high school and the district. Recognized as an Academic All-District selection both in 1998 and in 1999, she was nominated District 11-4A Honorable Mention and 1st Team All Metrocrest in 1999 the same year her team advanced to the Regional semi-finals. In both 1999 and 2000, she was elected the teams Defensive MVP. Monica graduated cum laude in May of 2006 from the University of North Texas with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She was married in July 2006 and currently teaches 3rd Grade at Coyote Ridge Elementary School.

Melanie Pabalate

Melanie is the JV coach at Flower Mound High School. She attended Castleberry High School where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, softball and track. She went to college at Navarro College and Texas Women's University where she played volleyball at both. At Navarro, she lettered in Volleyball Freshman Year, Received All-Conference Award, recorded 149 kills, 194 blocks, 22 service aces, and 541 digs. At Texas Womens University, Melanie recorded 111 kills and 111 digs and had two double-double performances.

Melissa Wallace

This is Melissa's fourth year to coach club volleyball. Melissa is from Lewisville. At Lewisville High, she was a three year letter winner as a middle blocker. She was second team all district her junior year first team all district her senior year. Melissa played four years of college volleyball at Arkansas Tech as a middle blocker. Her team was the Gulf South Conference West Division champions and they participated in the Gulf South Conference Tournament all four years she attended. She graduated with a B.S. in Management/Marketing. She is a Finance Manager for CitiCapital.
